I ran my first double digit run! 10 miles in 1:45:07!!! That's a 10:30 pace. I had to split the run up into two parts since the treadmill I was on had a 60 minute limit. (Some of the treadmills countdown from 96 minutes, but that still wouldn't have been enough time.) So, to play a mind game with myself, I figured I'd run more in the first half, so the second half wouldn't seem so bad. Hey, whatever I have to do to get it done! I set the speed at 5.7 mph figuring slow and steady wins the race.

I felt pretty good through most of the run. My hips got a bit tight towards the end, and my ass really did feel like it slid down to the backs of my knees, but my breathing was nice and easy and there were no cramps or stitches at all. My new music towards the end of the run REALLY helped push me through it, like The Wanted's 'I'm Glad you Came' and Nicki Minaj's 'Superbass.'
So, there's still just over seven months until my half-marathon. I think I got this.
SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!
